This is a Tifaifai: a traditional Tahitian style blanket.

This “tohora” motif is an original design intended to be used as a baby blanket. It represents the humpback whales that migrate to French Polynesia every year. It is cut, basted, and hand sewn on Moorea and took approximately 3 weeks to create.

The dimensions are 145cm x 115cm.
